Alfonso
Fernandez is the author of the book "If God is Truth". This
book
started as an observation by Alfonso about people
maintaining
in their minds foolish ideas that then became their truth and reality.
This
observation, combined with a great confusion in his own mind about what
was really the truth behind certain subjects, became the driving
force for seeking answers that then became the contents of the book.
One of the first things that became evident in Alfonso's quest for truth was the inability of organized religion and the institutional church to answer any of his questions. That is very troubling considering the dependency of so many people on church teachers for guidance. In fact, the decline of the church in the United States and Europe is fueled precisely by that incapacity of the leadership (pastors, teachers, and priests) to satisfy the people's thirst for truth. Alfonso was one of those. Eventually, he realized that regardless of who the creator of the universe might be, this creator really is the only absolute truth there is. We should try to know and understand this god in order to make him the reference truth to follow. One of the main goals of the book is to show its readers that rejecting this truth as our guide and standard brings terrible consequences to our own lives. Many authors are under pressure by publishers to write a book in a time frame, and it shows in the form of undeveloped ideas and plenty of words. Alfonso took a decade to write his book, and it shows. Each paragraph has mature, insightful ideas. But during the writing of the book, Alfonso unsuccessfully asked about truth and God's truth to many people involved in occupations where it should have been vital to fully know such information. Most of these people were uninterested or simply incapable of answering coherently these questions. What came as a big surprise for the author was to discover how little do religions really know about truth and God as Truth. Therefore, many of the ideas contained in "If God is Truth" are basically impossible to find anywhere else. Alfonso has a background in programming, electronics and electro-mechanical equipment repair, and a very solid general education with emphasis in technology and business. Since God's truth goes far beyond religion, and it is present everywhere in his creation, all this knowledge served him well in the research, investigation, and writing of the book. He was born in the Catholic faith, but eventually realized that religion and God often were not the same thing. He has seen how religion influences each culture and their individual members, sometimes very negatively. Therefore, he was motivated to search for an alternative way to God, bypassing religion and faith. As an immigrant to the United States and world traveler, Alfonso has been exposed to many different cultures, allowing him to suggest in the book how the mind of God is reflected in each culture and society. "If God is Truth" also answers why some cultures create successful societies, while other cultures become the worst enemies of any society. Click here to read the benefits of "If God is Truth". |
